2. WHAT TO BRING?
An open-minded attitude. Similar to your first yoga or dance class, we'll be teaching you a new way to move your body, using terms and move names you've never heard before. Regardless of your fitness background, this workout will be tuff - that's the point!
Make sure you drink enough water and eat a nutritious snack before class. Wear workout clothes (& deodorant!). Grip socks are required for your safety on and off the Megaformer. If you don't bring a pair you will be asked to purchase a pair at the studio. Bring a water bottle and small towel.
3. COME EARLY
It's required for you to come 10-15 minutes before your first class! We'll explain the Club Lagree method and machine and learn more about you - let us know if you have any injuries or specific fitness goals. You'll put your belongings in our cubbies (note: we don't have lockers, so leave your valuables at home!).
*If you don't come 10-15 minutes before your first class, you may be turned away for your safety. The instructor will put the class back in your account and you can sign up for another time!
4. EXPECT SOME CONFUSION
It's normal you may not understand all the cues and move names during your first class. Listen carefully to the instructor and watch the advanced students in class! Your goal isn't to do the move perfectly, but instead to keep your body moving.
5. COME BACK
As with starting any new fitness program, consistency is key. Even when you're confused or sore, keep coming back! Your body (and mind) needs a couple weeks to develop new movement patterns. You'll start to look and feel stronger in no time.
We recommend taking 3 classes per week, and taking class from different instructors to see which ones you vibe with the best.
